Hey there! So, here’s the scoop: Ronnie and Linda Huskey kicked off their first Log Cabin Pancake House in Pigeon Forge back in 1976. It was such a hit that they opened another one in Gatlinburg in 1979 when the perfect spot popped up. The Gatlinburg place is pretty cool—it’s made from these massive old timbers that were reclaimed, some of which are over 200 years old!
Life threw Linda a curveball when she lost her son and her husband within just six months. But with her family and awesome staff rallying around her, she kept the dream alive that she and Ronnie started over 40 years ago.
In 2017, she decided to let the Pigeon Forge lease go and had big plans to build a new spot. But after the wildfires hit Gatlinburg, things got delayed, and she couldn’t open in time for the busy season. So, for now, she’s focusing on the Gatlinburg location on Historic Nature Trail.
If you’re craving that cozy, homey vibe like you’re back at Grandma’s place, where the smell of bacon and eggs fills the air and biscuits are baking, you’ve gotta swing by Log Cabin Pancake House. We’ve got fluffy pancakes drizzled with hot homemade syrup, country ham, red-eye gravy, omelets, and biscuits and gravy. Don’t forget to try our specialty French crepes and a bunch of pancake varieties like Old Fashioned, our famous Buckwheat, Cornmeal, and Whole Wheat pancakes.
Not into breakfast? No worries! We’ve got a killer selection of sandwiches, like a juicy old-fashioned hamburger, Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, Patty Melt, and our new Philly Beef & Swiss. The ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese club is a local fave. If you’re in the mood for something seafood-y, check out our fish sandwich or shrimp dinner.
From April (sometimes even earlier) to January 1st, we’ve got a full hot buffet going on, featuring four meats—fried chicken is a must every day—along with home-cooked veggies and some hot cobbler to top it off. Our salad bar is always stocked with fresh goodies, offering 31 items, plus you’ve gotta try our homemade vegetable soup.
We’ve got some staff members who have been with us for over 40 years, and they’re all about serving up the best food and giving top-notch service to everyone who walks through the door.
