Located in Northwestern North Carolina adjacent to the Tennessee and Virginia state lines is an area known as The High Country. This area is a wonderful place to visit with three ski resorts in the winter, temperate summers, vibrant springs and beautiful scenery in the fall. The High Country includes 100 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway and popular tourist destinations: Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Linville, Wilkesboro, Valle Crucis, Ski Sugar, Ski Beech and 16 area golf courses.
